Page 255 of History of Clermont County, Ohio 1980: "John Trees Jr., son of John Trees Sr. and Barbara Trees, was born 1784, died 1866. Records show he served in the War of 1812. John Trees Jr. married Nancy Hodges and to this union wer born 12 children. Marion Trees, born in 1832, was the twelfth child of John Jr., and Nancy Trees. He lived on his father's farm near Pt. Isabel, Ohio in Washington Township, with his wife Allie McClain Trees. They had three children: Ella, Austin, and Charles. The oldest son, Charles, born 1851, died 1925. Charles married Emma Pattison, born 1860. Emma was the daughter of Edward and Catherine Jones Pattison. Emma and Charles Trees had only one child, a son, Roy Denzil Trees, born 1899 near Pt. Isabel, Ohio, died July 15, 1951, is buried at Pt. Isabel Cemetery, Pt. Isabel, Ohio. Roy Denzil Trees married in 1912 to Daisy Balnche Simon. Daisy was born 1893, the daughter of William H.H. and Lydia Ulrey Simon. Roy and Daisy had two daughters, Eva Marie, born 1913 and Dorothy Alberta, born 1916. After going out west with her husband and two daughters, to the states of Washington and Arizona for health reasons, Daisy died in 1920 at Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 28 years. She was brought back to Ohio and buried in Vesper Cemetery at Neville, Ohio. 1. Eva Marie Trees, married in 1931 to Lewis Robert Parrish, Sr., better known as Robert, was born 1908 at Mt. Olive, Ohio, died 1968, buried at Pt. Isabel Cemetery at Pt. Isabel, Ohio. Robert was the oldest son of John and Frances Winters Parrish of Mt. Olive, Ohio in Tate Twonship. To the union of Eva and Robert were born two children. A son, Lewis Robert Parrish, Jr., born 1931 and a daughter, Joan Marie Parrish, born 1935. a. Corporal Lewis Robert Parrish, Jr. served in the United States Marine Corps from April 30, 1951 to April 29, 1954. Serving in the First Marine Division. Serial Number 1177083. He was in Weapons Co. Third Battalion, Seventh Marine Regiment. Also was in the Korean War from Jan. 2, 1952 to Jan. 10, 1953. Was involved in "Operation Clam-Up" and the "Battle of Bunker Hill." Lewis Jr. was married in Feb. of 1953 to Nancy Rae Hall, born 1933, daughter of Robert and Dorothy Hall of Withamsville, Ohio. Lewis Jr. and Nancy have four children. (1) Sharon Anne, born November 1953, married to Ralph Frederick houser in November 1971. They have one daughter, Meghan Renee, born February 1978. (2) Timothy Mark, born in March 1957. (3) Jennifer Beth, born in October 1964. (4) Amy Rebecca, born in July 1972.

b. Joan Marie Parrish was married in august of 1955 to Alfred R. Moyer, born 1932, son of Henry and Emma Moyer. Alfred served in the United States Army for 20 years, from October 1949 to june 1970. Serial Number RA15293401. Alfred was stationed overseas about half the time with his wife Joan (Parrish) Moyer. Serving in England, Korea 1954 and 1955, Germany, Vietnam 1966, 1967, 1969, and 1970. Joan and Alfred have two daughters. (1) Debra Rae, born October 1956 in Stuttgart, Germany, married James Lee Davidson in August of 1974. They have one son. (2) Rhonda Kaye, born September 1964, in Munich, Germany.

2. Dorothy Alberta Trees, second daughter of Roy and Daisy Trees, has one son, Larry, born Dec. 1938. Dorothy married Fred Hazenfeld Jr., born 1915, son of Fred Sr. and Margaret Hazenfeld. a. Larry Trees married in June 1959 to Phyllis Moyer, born 1943, daughter of Henry and Emma Moyer. Larry and Phyllis have three children. (1) Kenneth Rae, born January 1960. (2) Elizabeth Lynn, born August 1962. (3) Judith Elaine, born September 1966.
