Canadian Men and Women of the Time (1912 edition), there is for Alexander:
Thompson, Alexander Mackenzie; educationist; S. late Rev. John T., DD (Presb.) and Mary, o.c. of late Hon. Alex. Mackenzie, Prime Minister of Canada; b. Sarnia, Ont., June 24, 1881; e. Sarnia and Brockville Coll. Inst., Queen's University, Kingston (M.A. 1902), and Harvard Univ. (Ph.D., 1907); m. June, 1909, Anna Purkis, y. d. John M. Gill, presidt., James Smart Co., Brockville, Ont., apptd. lect. in classics, McGill University, 1908; Presb. - - McGill University, Montreal. Also at UBC, I checked the 1955 Harvard Alumni Directory. It lists Alex as alive, well, and living in retirement in Montreal. But he's not listed at all in the 1970 Directory. So, presumably, he died between those two dates. Source: Mark Thorburn
