CENTRALIA CHRONICLE __CENTRALIA WASHINGTON SEPTEMBER 13,1911 An Appliction for licence to operate a skating rink was made to the city council last night by Charles Dingman, and H.M. Kay. It was referred to the police and license committee with instructions to report at the next meeting.
CHAS. DINGMAN DIED AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS
Charles Elmer Dingman was born May 24, 1882, in Little Falls, Minnesota, and died August 20th at the Good Samaritan Home in Kelliher. He was the son of Solomn H. Dingman and Clemencia Meyette. Mr. Dingman had been ill for the past year. On November 11, 1903 he was married to Anna Martha Kienew, also of the Little Falls area, there. Charlie was a member of the Methodist Church and was a member of the Woodsmen and Odd Fellow Organization. Of the later he held a high office. He and his wife came to the Firman Community in 1928 and settled on a farm. He was engaged in farming for the past 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Anna, four sons, Norman of Kelliher, Kenne Minneapolis, Lloyd of Lomita, California, and Keith of Firman, two grandsons, Jerry of Minneapolis, and Douglas of Eugene, Oregon, three greatgrand- children, Lisa, Marsha and LeAnn, also a sister, Mrs. Jessie Fuerstenberg of St. Cloud besides many more relatives and a host of friends. Charles Dingman will long be remembered as a good neighbor, friend to all and a wonderful father. He was always cheerful even to his last trying days when he was so ill. He will be missed by us all. Funeral services were held August 24th at the Lutheran Church in Kelliher with the Rev. Waldo Pierson officiating. Mrs Arlan Orr and Mrs. Bert Lingquist sang favorite hymns of the deceased. Pallbearers were Norman Florhaug and Carl Halvorson of Kelliher, Rudy Locken, Evans Hughes, Tom McQuoid and Charles Powell, all of Firman. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Kelliher.
